Posted on July 3rd, 2018 in Uncategorized | No Comments »

The NanoBusiness Commercialization Association (NanoBCA) would like to share that at the conclusion of our 17th Annual Conference on June 14th in Washington, DC, we presented two Lifetime Achievement Awards to innovators in the Nanotechnology business community.

It was my great honor to formally recognize Lynn L. Bergeson and Ajay P. Malshe, PhD for their ongoing and significant contributions to the Nanotechnology business community. These two individuals, along with all of our NanoBCA members and organizations, are true industry leaders who are driving and supporting the business of Nanotechnology through their tireless efforts.

A Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Lynn L. Bergeson, Managing Director of Bergeson & Campbell, P.C., for her numerous legal contributions to the Nanotechnology community.   Ms. Bergeson has earned an international reputation for her deep and expansive understanding of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), European Union Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), and especially how these regulatory programs pertain to nanotechnology, industrial biotechnology, synthetic biology, and other emerging transformative technologies.

A Lifetime Achievement Award in Science and Engineering went to Ajay P. Malshe, PhD, Distinguished Professor, 21st Century Endowed Chair Professor of Materials, Manufacturing and System Integration Mechanical Engineering, MEEG 204, University of Arkansas, for his pioneering work in nanotechnology. In early 2018 Dr. Malshe was elected to the National Academy of Engineering, one of the most prestigious, professional distinctions awarded to an engineer.
