I never would have guessed that 5 years ago when I was helping to start the Water Innovations Alliance Foundation that there would be so many advances in water technology.  I would like to thank Vincent Caprio and the WIAF for their support in developing a Water Pavilion at next year’s USA Science & Engineering Festival.  It is the largest STEM event in the world and takes place from April 25-27, 2014 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.

We want you to be part of this amazing effort.  Our last event had over 250,000 attendees which included students, families, teachers, government leaders, media and industry officials.  We are aiming at doubling our attendance for 2014.  Speakers and performers will include President Obama, the cast of The Big Bang Theory, Nobel Prize winners, Bill Nye the Science Guy, astronauts and Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs.  There will be activities such as interactive exhibits, career fairs, hackathons, a TED-like talk for kids, a book fair, teacher training conferences and visits to local schools with at-risk youth.

This is a free, non-profit, purely educational, inspirational and family-friendly event to get kids excited about careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Exhibitor space will include 750 of the World’s leading professional scientific and engineering societies, universities, government agencies, high-tech corporations and STEM outreach and community organizations. A special effort is made to attract more girls to pursue science and engineering careers. Exhibit space starts at $750 for non-profits. Exhibiting at the USA Science & Engineering Festival can create an amazing experience for your company.

Please take a look at the short video on our homepage with President Obama to get a sense of the event.  I would enjoy setting up a time to speak about your participation in this amazing event designed to excite and engage young people in careers in science, math and technology.

Best Regards,

m.
